When you’re on the road in your Cadillac, you want to feel safe. Thanks to a new Cadillac CTS safety tech called V2V, which passes communication from vehicle-to-vehicle, you’re unlikely to worry about safety again.
That’s because the intelligent system makes driving safer than ever, with predictive technology that warns you about delays before you come across them. So how does it work? Cadillac CTS vehicles can transmit information to each other up to 1000 feet away. This message can then pass from vehicle to vehicle (hence the name V2V) in order to warn drivers even farther away.
The messages that pass between vehicles can be about potential hazards ahead, giving the time they need to slow down in anticipation for stopped vehicles or slippery roads. The CTS gets this information on the road by scanning the environment around it to check for these types of conditions.
With the addition of this technology, drivers can be even safer by knowing about hazardous conditions before they encounter them. This gives drivers time to prepare for the situation, or even take an alternate route to avoid it.
V2V will become standard in every new Cadillac CTS, so if you want to check it out for yourself, come down to Hilton Head Automotive today!
